Blogging Leaders is a resource for people who lead teams and organizations and desire to increase their influence in the digital space through blogging.
I’m Brandon Cox. I’m a pastor and church planter in Northwest Arkansas who started blogging way back in 2002. WordPress was just a year old (they hadn’t even released a “plugin” yet) and Facebook hadn’t been born yet. Back then, my goal was to share brief written messages with my congregation online.
In the late 2000’s, I wound up serving as the Editor of a large website all about blogging and launched several new blogs, selling a couple and handing a couple off to other leaders. Since 2010, I’ve served as Editor and Online Community Facilitator for Pastors.com and Rick Warren’s Ministry Toolbox, one of the largest online communities of church leaders in the world.
In 2014, I wrote a book about how churches can use social media to spread their message in the online space called Rewired, and I’ve also built dozens of websites for churches and blogs for leaders.
I love blogging. I believe in it. While its form will continue to evolve, I think it’s here to stay. And I’m here to help.
This website is pretty much brand new. Is there room in this space for another blog about blogging? The market will tell. In the meantime, I hope you’ll listen in and consider subscribing to the Blogging Leaders email list for regular updates and special bonus tips and tools along the way.
Thanks for hanging around here!
Brandon
